About Battle Bags KC
Battle Bags KC is a non-profit organization that provides bags of comfort for adult cancer patients across the Kansas City metro while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each bag is carefully packed full of items that are essential to cancer patients receiving chemo or radiation therapy.
Founder, Claudia Remboldt who is a two-time cancer survivor, hand picks each item in every bag to equip every “warrior” for their battle against this disease. The bags are stuffed with high quality items such as bright, thick and warm blankets, water tumblers filled with hard candy, handmade soothing eye pillows, hand sanitizers, hand lotions, lip balms, winter hats, and flannel pajama pants. Most importantly, every bag includes a Bible, New Testament or a copy of God’s Promises plus a personal note from our founder explaining her journey and how her faith in Jesus Christ helped her navigate through this difficult time.
Battle Bags KC relies 100 percent on donations and we would be honored for you to partner with us in taking care of these adult cancer patients right here in Kansas City. Hi, I'm Claudia
I AM A TWO TIME CANCER SURVIVOR
I have two girls, now 8 and 9 years old with my husband Chad. I was first diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma breast cancer December 2013, I was 39 years old. At that time my girls were 5 and 3 years old. I underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I also underwent 8 rounds of chemo. I lost all my hair, physical strength and was emotionally exhausted. One thing I did not lose was my faith in Jesus Christ. I chose to lean towards the Lord and run this race with His strength not my own.
Flash forward 2 1/2 years, during a routine follow up appointment, my chemotherapy doctor made a devastating but timely discovery of another lump. My family and I were just settling back into life without treatments, surgeries and numerous doctors appointments. Lord, now what? My family and I have to go through this again? The Lord, through His word gave me this truth...
"For we walk by faith and not by sight."

I had to choose to walk by faith and not by what I was once again seeing in front of me. I chose to be a warrior, a warrior for Jesus! Believe me, it was hard to keep going. My world was very dark many times throughout my cancer journey. I had to keep going for my family, friends and others that could come to Jesus because of my journey.
No matter how dark your world is right now, Jesus can provide the light in your darkness-I know because I have been there. Be a warrior in whatever season you find yourself in- be it fighting cancer or just living day to day life. Be a mom warrior, a prayer warrior, a friend warrior.
